Monitoring biodiversity on the H3 green roof at Parc Agrobiotech

Within the LIFE BIG4LIFE project, we continue to deepen our understanding of how green roofs contribute to enhancing urban biodiversity. On the H3 green roof at Parc Agrobiotech, we are carrying out detailed monitoring of the species that grow and live there, with the goal of better understanding how these green spaces support urban life.

Green roofs provide several environmental benefits:

  • support the presence of pollinators
  • increase urban biodiversity
  • improve the microclimate and overall environmental quality

This monitoring effort is made possible thanks to the voluntary collaboration of an employee in the building, who actively participates in collecting observations. It is a clear example of how individual involvement can help build more sustainable cities that remain closely connected to nature.
