Parc Agrobiotech Lleida has inaugurated the renovation of the rooftop terrace of building H3, an initiative developed within the framework of the European project BIG4LIFE.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Lleida and President of Parc Agrobiotech Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa; the Rector of the University of Lleida and Vice-President of PCITAL, Mari Àngels Balsells; the BIG4LIFE project coordinator, Gabriel Pérez; and several councillors from Lleida City Council.
The intervention has transformed the H3 building rooftop into a monitored green space, which will allow researchers to analyse the benefits of this type of nature-based solution in areas such as building performance improvement, energy savings, human health, and environmental preservation.
With this initiative, BIG4LIFE continues to advance the promotion of sustainability, urban biodiversity, and the transformation of buildings into more efficient and resilient spaces.
