This February, a senior group of six volunteers from Lleida joined the LIFE BIG4LIFE project to support maintenance and monitoring tasks on the H3 green roof at the Parc Agrobiotech. Their involvement strengthens the project’s community dimension and helps ensure the proper functioning of this demonstration site.
The volunteers will collaborate in activities such as:
- Monitoring vegetation and biodiversity conditions.
- Observing environmental parameters.
- Carrying out basic preventive maintenance tasks.
Their experience and dedication provide essential value for continuing to generate knowledge about how green roofs perform in Mediterranean environments.
The incorporation of this group illustrates how citizen collaboration can enhance the management of green infrastructure and help initiatives like LIFE BIG4LIFE grow.
